History.

Since 1969 when Andrew Sanazaro, Sr. founded the company, Meramec Electrical Products has been dedicated exclusively to engineering and manufacturing the highest quality instrument current transformers for the electrical power industry. Sanazaro was a visionary innovator who built Meramec's first products in his basement before opening the first 2000 square foot factory in the small town of Cuba, Missouri.

We are still located in that small town, but today our products are designed and manufactured in a 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Meramec Electrical Products Company holds the distinction of being the largest bushing transformer manufacturer in the Western Hemisphere and serves a global market.
